When a French steward attempted to apprehend a pitch invader at a Coupe de France match last weekend, the crowd really got their money's worth.
The intruder initially ran on the field to congratulate players on both teams before the referee attempted to shoo him away with his hand as bemused FC Chauray and FC Lorient footballers looked on.
Perhaps seeing no alternative a steward gallantly ran into the action, but his attempt to thwart the pitch invader ended in a rather dramatic failure, when he unfortunately misjudged the height of the safety barrier.
Judging by the reaction and applause from the crowd, it may have been the most entertainment they saw all day.
