Two old men, both in their 90s, risked comfortable senior-citizen status as well as brittle hamstrings to stage a 100-meter race at a track meet in San Sebastian, Spain.
In this incredible video, 94-year-old Emiel Pauwels of Belgium pipped 95-year-old IImari Koppinnen of Finland in a thrilling finish at at an athletics meet for veterans.
Though Pauwels got off to a slower start - Belgian media noted that "Emiel Pauwels has never been a strong starter, and at 94, that will not change" - he found another gear and triumped over Koppinen, hand raised in victory. Suprisingly moving stuff.
