Brett Killip and Andy Duffin are the form men heading into the final round of the 2007 Toyo Tyres Pro 7 racing series at Manfeild in Feilding this weekend. The Suzuki New Zealand Production Racing competitors take part in their last round too, although the classes within the category seem likely have been decided in favour of Simon Sceats (Class C), Dale Williams (Class B) and Cody McMaster (Class A and Suzuki Swift Cup) barring a major mechanical mishap.
TAUPO TO HOST WORLDS
The Taupo Motorcycle Club, in partnership with Motorcycling New Zealand (MNZ), has been granted the hosting rights to the 2009 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship on August 15-16 next year. MNZ says the head of the FIM, Dr Wolfgang Srb, expressed total faith in the club and New Zealand's governing body. The event will be held at "Digger McEwen's" sand/pumice and sawdust track.
TOWNLEY ON MEND
Kiwi Ben Townley is making a swift recovery after surgery on his ankle. Townley missed the start of the United States Motocross Lites series and is now concentrating on the Supercross season. He's been back on his Honda working on engine and suspension setups.
