SYDNEY - The young daughter of rugby union great Phil Kearns remains in a critical but stable condition today after she was accidentally run over in the driveway of the family's Sydney home.
Mr Kearns accidentally ran over 19-month-old Andie in the driveway of their Mosman home about 8am (11am NZT) yesterday.
A spokeswoman for The Children's Hospital at Randwick said today there had been no change in the girl's condition overnight.
She remains in a critical but stable condition.
Young Andie suffered mainly abdominal injuries when she was hit by the family's Volkswagen four-wheel-drive.
She was stabilised at Royal North Shore Hospital before being airlifted by helicopter to The Children's Hospital at Randwick.
Police would not name the family involved but friends and The Children's Hospital said the girl was the daughter of the former Wallabies hooker and his wife Julie.
The couple have three other children - Wilson, Finn and Matilda.
Kearns was named in the Wallabies Team of the Decade in August, and is Australia's most-capped hooker, playing 67 tests - 10 as captain - between 1989 and 1999.
He also played in both the 1991 and 1999 World Cup winning sides.
