Top New Zealand para swimmer Sophie Pascoe is in the running for the International Paralympic Committee athlete of the month award.
Pascoe broke the 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly world records in the women's S10 category at the national championships. They secured her place on the team for July's IPC world championships in Glasgow.
Pascoe is vying for the award with South African athlete Ilse Hayes, Mexican powerlifter Amalia Perez, American athlete Tatyana McFadden and Nigel Murray, a boccia player from Britain.
