New Zealand winter paralympians, Adam Hall, of Dunedin, and Aucklander Anthony Field, both finished well back in the downhill, the first of four events they will compete in during the 2006 Games, in Sestriere, Italy.
Hall finished 41st and Field 43rd out of the 62 starters.
Paralympic coach Jane Stevens said that as this was not their main events, both results were excellent and gave the skiers valuable time on the course where they will be racing all their other events for the Games.
