KEY POINTS:
The New Zealand Paralympic campaign will kick off on Sunday when boccia and cycling competitors take the field in Beijing.
New Zealand has competed in boccia, a cross between petanque and indoor bowls for individual athletes and teams of athletes with motor skill disabilities, at the Paralympics since 1996.
There are high hopes for this year's team, which includes Jeremy Morris, Liam Sanders and Maurice Toon who took silver medals away from Athens in 2004.
The team also had a successful build up to Beijing, with a strong performance at the International Boccia Competition in Canada in May.
Greig Jackson drew note there, beating the reigning champion to win gold.
Also competing on Sunday are tandem paracycling team Jayne Parsons and Annaliisa Farrell, who won a silver medal in the American regional championship last year.
