ISLAMABAD (AP) " The Pakistan Cricket Board says Misbah-ul-Haq will retire from limited-overs cricket after leading Pakistan in the World Cup but will continue to play test cricket.
PCB spokesman Agha Akbar told The Associated Press on Sunday that Misbah informed board chairman Shaharyar Khan last week.
Akbar says "Misbah has shown lot of grace" in making his plans clear before the World Cup, which starts Feb. 14. The board will organize a ceremony in honor of the Pakistan captain before a short training camp in Lahore next week.
Misbah, who tied test cricket's fastest century against Australia in the United Arab Emirates last year, is yet to score a hundred in ODIs.
He has made 4,669 runs in 153 one-day internationals and led Pakistan in 78 ODIs.
