KEY POINTS:
Seven sailors were today named to race for New Zealand at the Pre-Olympic regatta in China in August.
The team contain Dan Slater in the Finn class, Jo Aleh in the Radial, Laser yachtsman Andrew Murdoch, Star pair Hamish Pepper and Carl Williams, and boardsailors Barbara Kendall and Tom Ashley.
Yachting New Zealand said selections for the regatta, at Qingdao on August 10-25, was subjective and primarily on the sailors' ability to medal at the 2008 Olympic Games.
Additional sailors, in unselected classes, may be added to the team should.
