Champion boardsailor Barbara Kendall today confirmed she will bid to compete at her fifth Olympics.
Kendall has a full range of medals -- gold, silver and bronze -- as well as a fifth placing from her previous four Olympic appearances.
She said she made the decision three weeks ago to continue on to the Beijing Games in 2008, where a new board, the Neil Pryde RS:X, will be used.
"You're a long time retired," she said.
"I'll probably be the oldest girl in the fleet, but it's a whole new board, a whole new set of instructions. It's going to be quite exciting just learning how to sail this thing."
The Beijing regatta will be staged just before Kendall's 41st birthday.
