Another six athletes have been confirmed in the New Zealand team for the Winter Olympics next month in Italy.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) today named three skiers and three snowboarders to join the five-man curling team earlier selected for the Games starting in Turin on February 10.
The skiers are Mickey Ross in the slalom, Nicola Campbell in the giant slalom and Super G and Erika McLeod in the giant slalom.
The snowboarders are Juliane Bray in the halfpipe and snowboarder cross, and Kendall Brown and Mitchell Brown in the halfpipe.
"All of those named above have performed to a consistent level on the World Cup circuit and have secured enough FIS (International Ski Federation) points to qualify for the Games." NZOC secretary general Barry Maister said.
He said the NZOC hoped to announce further additions to the team within the next few days.
