A trio of New Zealand Olympic triathletes will come out of their month-long hibernation in the mountains tomorrow to test themselves in the World Cup in Lausanne.
World No 1 Hamish Carter, Craig Watson and Evelyn Williamson have spent the last four weeks living and training at altitude in preparation for Sydney.
But this weekend they come back down to earth to race against other primed Olympians in the latest stop on the World Cup calendar.
When the team return to New Zealand briefly before the Olympics, Carter has organised his own triathlon at Gulf Harbour - a last shakedown where he will put himself up against some of the country's fastest swimmers, cyclists and runners.
The fourth member of the Kiwi team, Ben Bright, shied away from the altitude camp, choosing to do his build-up at home in Christchurch.
