KEY POINTS:
Wanaka's Nicky Samuels finished sixth at the fifth round of the triathlon World Cup in South Africa yesterday.
Samuels was the only New Zealander in the field at Richards Bay.
Canada's Carolyn Murray proved strongest to collect her first World Cup podium and victory. Murray won from Australian Felicity Abram and Switzerland's Magali Di Marco Messmer.
For Olympics reserve Samuels, the race was her first of a new campaign as she prepares for the world championships in Vancouver in early June.
