This is NOT your room! Women's team leave note for men

You can hardly blame Sir Bradley Wiggins and his heroic cycling team for celebrating wildly after claiming a historic gold last night in Rio.

But Team GB's women appeared to be in no mood for joining the after-party, leaving a hilarious note on their door warning the boys to stay away.

Great Britain's women made sure they would get a good night's rest for their own team pursuit final on Saturday - by telling the men's team to stay out of their room in the early hours of the morning.

Olympic champion Owain Doull - who was part of the team who claimed gold in the men's pursuit last night - took to Twitter to post a picture of a letter pinned to the girls' room, warning the victorious men's team to stay out.

'To the team pursuit men, CONGRATULATIONS! As we're guessing you're probably going to be drunk by the time you read this,' the note read.

'And a few of you have already come into our room accidentally - just a friendly reminder that THIS IS NOT YOUR ROOM.

'So please don't try and get in a 4am.'

Great Britain's women will be hoping to replicate the success of Doull, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Ed Clancy and Steven Burke, who captured Team GB's second gold medal in the Rio Olympic Velodrome.

The women's team, made up of Joanna Rowsell-Shand, Laura Trott, Katie Archibald and Elinor Barker, set a new world record during qualifying for Saturday's final.

The British quartet will face a team from the United States in the final as they attempt to continue Team GB's fantastic run of form in Olympic track cycling.
