Peter Jackson and sisters Li Chunli and Karen Li will be New Zealand's table tennis representatives at the Olympic Games in September.
All three are from Auckland.
Jackson and Li Chunli will be attending their third Olympics. Jackson was at Seoul in 1988 and Barcelona in 1992, and Li Chunli made her Olympic debut for New Zealand in Barcelona. She was New Zealand's sole table tennis representative in Atlanta in 1996.
"The three players are vastly experienced and have shown the ability to be among the best in Oceania and the Commonwealth," Michael Hooper, secretary-general of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, said yesterday.
Jackson has represented New Zealand since 1981, winning 11 national open singles and doubles titles. Li Chunli was third at the women's World Cup in 1997 and is unbeaten by any female New Zealand player. Karen Li has only lost to her sister.
Jackson will play in the singles and the Li sisters in the singles and doubles.
