KEY POINTS:
The New Zealand Olympic team has its first injury casualty just days out from the start of the Games.
Under-23 footballer Jack Pelter has been ruled out of the competition with injury, two days before the Oly-Whites' first match against China.
Wellington Phoenix striker Greg Draper will replace Pelter in the 18-man squad, subject to approval from the International Olympic Committee and FIFA.
Draper says he only received the news after training with the Phoenix this morning.
He says he is over the moon to have the chance to go to Beijing and join the team again.
A formal announcement on Draper's selection is expected in the next 24 hours.
