Skier, skater allowed to switch nationality

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - French skier Christelle Douibi and New Zealand short-track skater Jeremy Beck were today allowed to switch their nationalities ahead of next year's Winter Olympic Games.

Douibi will now represent Algeria and Beck will now skate for Australia in international competition, the International Olympic Committee's decision-making body, the Executive Board said today.
