KEY POINTS:
Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell's defence of their Beijing Olympic double sculls title has suffered another setback.
They have dominated the event for the better part of this century yet they have failed to make the final at the last World Cup of this year in Poznan, Poland.
It follows their missing the previous World Cup in Lucerne due to illness to Georgina.
Coach Dick Tonks says he has spoken to them and they have not been able to identify much at fault after slipping away at the 1250 metre mark following a couple of rogue strokes.
Six of the seven other Kiwi Olympic crews represented have made it through to A finals.
