Five-time world champion Mahe Drysdale will miss the final World Cup rowing regatta in Munich this weekend after a cycling accident - but his Olympic campaign is still on track.
Drysdale was this week in a collision with a car and was knocked from his bike, sustaining a minor shoulder injury which will require further examinations later this evening (NZT).
But, with the Olympics slightly more than a month away, Rowing NZ chief executive said the accident would not affect the Beijing bronze medallist's preparations or build up for London beyond this weekend.
The single sculler has included cycling in his training and regatta build-up programme as a way to protect his back from a repeat of the injury that seriously affected his 2010 programme.
Drysdale, among the favourites for gold at the Olympic Games, is expected to be back in the boat within four to five days.
