New Zealand's chances of an eventing medal at the Rio Olympics have taken a hit after the team slipped to a share of sixth after the second day of dressage.
After the first of the three phases in the event the Kiwis have 137.50 penalty points after Clarke Johnstone and Jonelle Price completed their tests.
Johnstone's score of 46.5 was added to that of teammates Sir Mark Todd and Tim Price. Jonelle Price's 49.50 effort was discarded.
They sit 11.10 points adrift of third placed Australia.
They sat in fifth after day one.
