The accolades for New Zealand's first medallist at the Rio Olympics have come thick and fast, with Natalie Rooney already being featured on a post stamp and now, honoured with free lamb sandwiches for life.
The Timaru trap shooter won a silver medal on Monday morning and featured in a short interview with Jase and PJ on ZM this morning where a deal was struck.
The radio duo called Rooney's local pub, the Waimate Hotel, and convinced the owners to commit to free lamb sandwiches for life, if she brings in her medal.
