It's fair to say it didn't all go to plan for Haiti hurdler Jeffrey Julmis in his semifinal race at the Rio Olympics today.
After qualifying for the semifinals earlier in the day, the two-time Olympian made a meal of his race at the first hurdle, failing to attempt a leap and running straight into the obstacle.
Just like New Zealand's Nikki Hamblin and US competitor Abbey D'Agostino, who both finished their 5000m heat after falling, Julmis runner did eventually get up, crawled under the second hurdle and finished the race.
The Florida-based runner completed the race in a time of 25.56 seconds, more than 12 seconds outside his personal best.
