Yet another mishap to hit the Olympic games - this time a man is reported to have been impaled on a fence outside media accommodation in Rio.
Images of the scene show the man with a large spike from the fence stuck in his chest, near a temporary laundry tent, AAP reported.
According to the Australian news agency the man was still alive when he was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning (local time).
The man has not yet been identified.
It's but one of numerous incidents to have struck the games, including one where a bullet pierced the top of a media tent at the equestrian centre - on day one of the competition.
