Olympic track cyclist Sarah Ulmer has held onto her top-10 placing in one of the world's premier road races, the HP Women's Challenge in the United States.
Ulmer stuck with the main bunch who sprinted home in yesterday's wind-hampered stage in Idaho to retain her ninth place overall.
Fellow Kiwi Olympian Susy Pryde, riding with a broken rib, improved a couple of spots to 29th. The stage was won by Olympic sprint champion Petra Rossner, of Germany.
Meanwhile, veteran Graeme Miller has withdrawn his threat of legal action over his omission from the New Zealand men's road team, but he still wants to know why he was left out.
