New Zealand results on day 12 of the Athens Olympics (Wednesday/Thursday NZ time):

Athletics: men's 5000m heats, Michael Aish, 17th in time of 13:50.00 (did not qualify), men's 800m heats, Jason Stewart 5th in time of 1:46.24 (did not qualify).

Cycling: women's points race, Sarah Ulmer came 6th (8 points), men's madison, Greg Henderson and Hayden Roulston 7th, (2 points).

Hockey: men's 5th-8th classification game, New Zealand beat Korea 4 goals to 3. Halftime 2-1

Scorers: New Zealand - Phillip Burrows 26, 62, 69, Wayne Mcindoe 28pc

South Korea - Yeo Woon-kon 14, Lee Jung-seon 39pc, Jeon Jong-ha 57

Sailing: men's Mistral Thomas Ashley came 11th in today's race, (10thoverall after final 11th race, 98 points), women's Mistral,Barbara Kendall came 4th in today's race, (5th overall after final 11th race, 58 points).

Triathlon: women's final, Samantha Warrinder came 18th in a time of 2:08:42.07 (19:42 swim, 1:10:45 cycling, 38:15 run).
