Nervous Kiwi cyclists will have to wait until the Olympic torch leaves the country before they are told if they will see it again in Sydney.
Cycling New Zealand met the New Zealand Olympic Committee on Wednesday to discuss the nominees for the track, road and mountain-bike teams.
But the NZOC will not name the successful cyclists until the middle of next week, once the excitement of the torch relay has died down.
And it's the same message for New Zealand swimmers, whose cases for selection were discussed in Auckland yesterday.
