They both won gold medals in their respective fields at London 2012 and are considered to be one of the greatest of all-time in their sports.
So perhaps it may come as no coincidence that New Zealand rowing powerhouse Eric Murray shared his flight to Rio de Janeiro with record-breaking Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
Murray, who along with his rowing pair Hamish Bond, is currently on a 66-race winning streak, and is aiming for back-to-back gold medals going into the Rio Olympics.
Bolt is considered to be one of the greatest athletes of all-time, let alone one of the best sprinters in the world right now.
He won gold medals in every event he competed in at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics, and will be looking to complete an unprecedented three-peat at Rio 2016, where he would be the first to win a hat-trick of gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay across three Olympics.
