Kate McIlroy has declared herself fit and healthy as she prepares to embark on a late bid for Olympic selection.
The veteran triathlete was only able to compete in one event last year because of a serious hip injury and now requires two top eight finishes in the first four world championship series events of 2016 to be meet the qualifying criteria.
McIlroy says she was in the same situation four years ago before London.
She says she only qualified the year of the Olympics in 2012, so Rio is still a definite possibility.
The first world series event is in Abu Dhabi in early March.
