A Japanese gold medallist celebrated her wrestling win by hurling her coach to the ground before parading him around the arena on her shoulders.
Risako Kawai, who claimed Japan's fourth gold medal in women's wrestling in Rio, delighted the crowd with her eccentric celebration, the Daily Mail reported.
The 21-year-old two-time junior champion defeated European champion Mariya Mamashuk of Belarus 3-0 in the freestyle -63kg class on Thursday, in her first Olympics.
"Before the final, the coach said he wanted me to lift him on his shoulders," she told Japanese media.
"The three wrestlers the previous day all won gold so they got to do that, and I said I wanted to be first to slam him and he let me do it."
