It's advantage Ryan Fox over Michael Hendry in the race for the second spot on the New Zealand men's golf team for the Olympics.
Fox is 17 ranking places ahead of Hendry who has more ranking points on offer at the Japan Tour's PGA Championship this week.
While Hendry's made a solid start, his two under 70 has him six shots off the pace in a tie for a 11th, Fox is off to a flier in Slovakia.
He's carded a seven under 65 to lead the latest European Challenge Tour event by a shot.
Meanwhile Danny Lee's double bogeyed the final hole to slip from a share of the lead to a tie for 11th at the European Tour's Scottish Open.
