KEY POINTS:
Double gold medalist Mark Todd will attend his sixth Olympics as part of the New Zealand equestrian team to Beijing.
Todd won gold in the arduous three-day event at the 1984 Los Angeles Games and 1988 Seoul Olympics, and was also selected for Barcelona in 1992 and Atlanta in 1996. He retired after the Sydney Olympics in 2000 but made a comeback to top competition this year, riding the 10-year-old horse Gandalf
Todd's comeback culminated in his selection Tuesday in the New Zealand three-day eventing team for the Beijing Games. Equestrian sports at the games will be headquartered in Hong Kong.
"I'm really looking forward to it, and we've got a solid team that's strong in all phases," Todd said.
The New Zealand team also includes Britain-based Andrew Nicholson, Caroline Powell, Joe Myer and Heelan Tomplins.
