New Zealand's leading dressage riders now play a waiting game to find out if they have qualified for the London Olympics next year.
The team of four riders performed impressively at the Australian championships in Sydney but must now wait until Australian and South African riders compete this week at Ermelo in the Netherlands.
The top two teams of the three countries qualify for the Olympics. Half the Australian team rode in Sydney, where the best three scores counted.
New Zealand's leader was Athens Olympian Louisa Hill on Bates Antonello, with 66.13 per cent in the grand prix. Taranaki's Vanessa Way and K.H. Arvan scored 65.51 per cent, Nicola Pope of Auckland on Fabarchie 63.13 and Shiwon Green of Cambridge on Gosh posted 61.36 per cent.
The two Australians, Rachael Sanna and Chantal Wigan, scored 69.09 per cent and 62.47 per cent.
