KEY POINTS:
New Zealand cyclist Catherine Cheatley is on the brink of a timely win on the United States road circuit.
She held an overall lead of 19s entering today's final stage of the four-day Fitchburg Longsjo Classic in Massachusetts.
Cheatley, who has been named to contest the points race on the track at the Olympic Games in Beijing next month, has been prominently placed since finishing second in the opening 10km time trial stage.
She followed that up by winning the 111km second stage on Saturday and finished fifth in yesterday's 55km third stage.
