New Zealand cyclists are not just sitting on their saddles waiting to hear if they are going to the Olympics.
The road riders have kept on pedalling - Julian Dean has finished 10th in the United States professional championships, Graeme Miller 20th and Glen Mitchell 34th.
In France, professional Chris Jenner is 44th in the dress rehearsal to the Tour de France, the Dauphine Libere.
