New Zealand has fallen agonisingly short of winning the teams' gold medal for the first time at the men's world bowls championships in Scotland.
With bronze medals already secured in the fours and singles, Gary Lawson's four conceded a two at the last end to lose to England.
Meanwhile Scotland claimed fifth place in the fours, enough to take out the Leonard Trophy for best team for the fifth time.
In the singles, Russell Meyer won his third place play-off against Fiji, but it was not enough to take New Zealand to the title, despite a medal in all four disciplines.
