KEY POINTS:
Dual international Donna Wilkins has ruled out playing for the New Zealand women's basketball team at next year's Olympic Games in Beijing.
The decision effectively ends her illustrious international career.
Her decision comes a few days after she confirmed her netball playing days were over, having taken an assistant coach's role in the Southern Steel franchise in the new Tasman Trophy league. Wilkins, 29, said she had made up her mind about Beijing.
"I had advised the coaches previously that I would most likely be unavailable," Wilkins said. "I just cannot commit myself to another Olympic campaign."
