Beijing Olympic Games bound triathlete Samatha Warriner won the New Zealand swim/run championship at Mission Bay last night.
Warriner, who won in 2004 and 2005, covered the 1000m swim and 4km run in 27m 15s to beat Carmel Hanly by over a minute.
Brent Foster notched up his ninth title with a convincing win in the men's title race. Foster, who won his first title in 1994, recorded 24m 56s, 34s ahead of Tony Dodds.
