New Zealand women sprinters were in winning form at the Melbourne Grand Prix athletics meet last night.
Andrea Miller secured a notable double, winning the 100m hurdles in 13.33 seconds and later the 100m in 11.69sec.
Monique Williams was equally impressive in winning the 200m in 23.75sec.
The New Zealand 200m record of 23.13sec held by Kim Robertson is within Williams' grasp as is a Beijing Olympics qualifying time of 23.00sec.
Williams was later fourth in the 100m in 11.84sec, with Anna Smythe sixth in 11.90sec.
James Dolphin could only manage eighth in a star-studded 100m, won by Asafa Powell of Jamaica in a meet record of 10.04sec.
Dolphin, who clocked 10.62sec, went on to finish second in the 200m in 21.03sec, a race won by Australian Daniel Batman in 20.84sec.
Stuart Farquhar was third in the javelin throwing 78.12m while Nikki Hamblin was third in the 1500m in 4min 17.01sec.
Beatrice Faumuina finished fourth in the discus with a best of 57.82m, more than 5m behind Chinese winnr Aimin Song.
Adrian Blincoe was seventh in the 5000m in 13 minutes 35.80 seconds, won by Australia's Craig Mottram in 13min 11.99sec.
