Athletics: Faumuina wins in Poland

Discus thrower Beatrice Faumuina capped her Olympics Games preparations in style by winning a European Athletics meeting in Poland.

Faumuina threw 63.20 metres in calm conditions in Poznan to continue her good run of form in Europe.

The 1997 world champion and two-time Commonwealth gold medallist threw a 65m-plus throw to finish third in an international meeting in Halle, Germany in May.
