'Oh s**t': Sports presenter bails, spills water on herself during broadcast

Nine News sports presenter Erin Molan was caught in a TV gaffe, after she unexpectedly fell off her chair while reading her evening bulletin.

Molan, who reads for Nine News in Sydney, was about to read the latest results from the Tour de France, when she went silent.

A large thud was then heard by viewers, before the said "Sh*t".

She then composed herself and kept on reading, despite spilling water on herself as well, news.com.au reported.

She also explained what happened to her, as viewers were watching footage of Tour de France competitors, but could not see her.

"The Tour de France, I've just fallen off my chair, now I'm all good," she said.

The presenter, who also works on The NRL Footy Show, then reassured viewers at the end of her report, by saying: "I did just fall off my chair but I'm OK I promise."

Returning to being on camera with co-presenter Georgie Gardner, Molan apologised to viewers again.

"Apologies for that and anything that came out of my mouth ... I was in a bit of shock. Apologies," she said.

Viewers also took social media to praise her for keeping her cool, as she continued the nightly bulletin as swiftly as she could.

Olympic basketball champion Lauren Jackson was one of them, who tweeted her support for her.

Her colleague Airlie Walsh also backed her, calling her a "trooper".
