"The Tour de France, I've just fallen off my chair, now I'm all good," she said.
The presenter, who also works on The NRL Footy Show, then reassured viewers at the end of her report, by saying: "I did just fall off my chair but I'm OK I promise."
Returning to being on camera with co-presenter Georgie Gardner, Molan apologised to viewers again.
"Apologies for that and anything that came out of my mouth ... I was in a bit of shock. Apologies," she said.
Viewers also took social media to praise her for keeping her cool, as she continued the nightly bulletin as swiftly as she could.
Olympic basketball champion Lauren Jackson was one of them, who tweeted her support for her.
Her colleague Airlie Walsh also backed her, calling her a "trooper".
