New Zealanders Jason Koster and Moira de Villiers have won gold medals at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in Cardiff, Wales.
Koster, from Christchurch, won his senior men's under-100kg division and de Villiers, from Auckland, won the senior women under-70kg class. The pair were the only New Zealanders competing at the event, which is open to Commonwealth countries and held every two years.
Both Koster and de Villiers are based in Paris, France, and are ranked in the top 30 in the world. Their next focus is a Paris Grand Slam event in which they will be chasing Olympic selection points. Both are long-listed for this year's Olympics in London.
