New Zealander William Trubridge has again broken the world record for freediving.
Trubridge broke the record in his specialist discipline of constant weight without fins on Saturday morning.
The discipline means he dives without the use of fins, weight or rope.
Trubridge was competing in the Vertical Blue 2009 event in the Bahamas at Dean's Blue Hole, a 200m-deep sinkhole.
He dived 88 metres and swam back on a single breath of air in three minutes and 30 seconds, the Dominion Post reported.
It was his seventh world record and fifth in that discipline.
Trubridge held the previous record of 86 metres which he set last year.
