Having a catchy nickname can be a great boost for an athlete - but when your play no longer backs it up, life can get awkward.
New York Jets defensive star Darrelle Revis is one of the best players to ever line up at cornerback in the NFL. He was the AFC defensive player of the year while leading the Jets to the AFC championship game in 2009 and has been all-pro five times.
His ability to shut down opposition wide receivers led to the coining of the phrase "Revis Island", which described the area on the field he was charged with protecting. No one came out alive.
But like any champion, age is starting to catch up with the now 31-year-old. Revis has been hobbled by injuries in recent years and began this season by getting torched by star Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green.
According to NFL research, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton registered a perfect rating (10-10, 158 yards and one touchdown) when he threw to Green while Revis was in coverage. Green finished with 12 catches for 180 yards in Cincinnati's 23-22 win.
