A huge snow storm caused an inflated roof at the home stadium of NFL side the Minnesota Vikings to collapse today.
The roof collapse at the Minneapolis Metrodome created more scheduling chaos for the New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings NFL game that had already been postponed, Reuters reported.
The NFL confirmed the collapse on the league's official website with Detroit's Ford Field announced as the new host for the match.
The game has been rescheduled from Monday to Tuesday (NZT) because of the storm.
"We were notified this morning by the Metrodome authorities that the dome will not be available for the Giants-Vikings game on Monday or Tuesday," said NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello on his Twitter account posted on NFL.com.
The game was originally postponed after the Giants were stranded in Kansas City when their charter flight was unable to land in Minneapolis because of the snow.
