Defender Casey Williams will miss the Silver Ferns netball trial this weekend because of an ankle injury and a tonsils operation.
Williams landed awkwardly on her right ankle in Waikato's win over Canterbury in the national provincial championships in Dunedin two weeks ago.
Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken said the injury had put the player in doubt for the trial in Auckland on Sunday.
Aitken said Williams, 19, remained in contention for selection for the one-off test against Australia in Auckland on October 29.
