KEY POINTS:
Netball New Zealand today named four players for its high performance backup group to the Silver Ferns.
The "accelerant group" has replaced the NZ A squad and will include up to eight players at any one time.
The four initial players are Canterbury Tactix wing defence Phillipa Finch, Wellington Pulse wing defence Cushla Litchwark, Waikato Bay of Plenty shooter Jess Tuki and national under-21 midcourter Camilla Lees of Otago.
Players selected in the accelerant group are considered by the national selectors as having the potential to be included in the Silver Ferns programme by 2011. The group will be overseen by Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken.
