Netball: Former Fern making shock comeback

Former Silver Ferns shooter Tania Dalton is poised to make a shock return to top level netball at the age of 39.

She has been called into the Southern Steel as a short-term replacement for current New Zealand international Daneka Wipiiti, who's battling an ankle injury.

Dalton answered an SOS before in 2008, but didn't take the court.

Dalton is expected to suit up for Monday's ANZ Championship game against the Northern Mystics.
