Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander believes the gruelling Constellation Cup schedule poses a risk to player well-being.
The Australians and the Silver Ferns took to the court for last night's third test in Auckland after just a two-day turnaround between matches - one of which was taken up by travel.
The Diamonds clearly coped with the challenge better, as the pain of Wednesday night's shock 53-51 loss to the Ferns in Launceston proved a strong motivation.
Despite dealing the Ferns another 12-goal hammering in Auckland last night to take a 2-1 lead in the series, Alexander doesn't think the two sides should have taken the court.
"I certainly said today that the test should have been [on Sunday]," the World Cup winning coach said.
