Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander has sounded a warning to new Silver Ferns rival Noeline Taurua as she embarks on an unprecedented challenge.
Taurua has taken on the role of Silver Ferns coach through to the end of the 2019 World Cup, despite still being under contract with Australian Super Netball's Sunshine Coast Lightning, where she has won back-to-back titles.
The dual workload is a new endeavour for a Silver Ferns coach, and while there is no crossover between the Ferns schedule and Lightning schedule, Alexander believes it's going to be a tricky task.
"Obviously Noeline had a commitment to the Lightning and she'll have a very good assistant coach there [Kylee Byrne] who will look after the program when she's concentrating on her job with the Silver Ferns," Alexander told Radio Sport.
"I wish Noeline all the best in combining the two jobs together – but I don't think I particularly would be able to do both jobs and give it the attention that it's required."
