KEY POINTS:
New Zealand coach Ruth Aitken said there won't be any complacency going into the quarterfinals of the Netball World Championships after the Silver Ferns final pool game tonight.
"It was a bit of a 'hmm' way to end which isn't what we wanted," Aitken said after the Silver Ferns' 76-20 win over Botswana in Auckland.
She said the style of the Botswana team was hard to deal with and they did well to stick to their plan.
Aitken said the team lost their structure but didn't need a telling off.
"They're disappointed when their performance is not the way they want it so they beat themselves up sometimes too much."
Silver Ferns wing defence Julie Seymour said the team was flat and Botswana's tactics prevented them from finding their flow.
"They were right in our faces, three-foot marking, more of that face marking play that we're really not used to," she said.
Seymour added that being in defence for so much of the game reduced their attacking ability.
The win puts New Zealand at the top of pool A, and set for a quarterfinal on Thursday against the losers of tonight's England-South Africa match.
Seymour said the build-up has been good and she's excited about being in the "business end of the tournament".
"Definetly we are really ready."
